Book Of Mormon tour? What to expect?

For those of you who have recently discovered Alma’s Expeditions and are now wondering, What is a Book of Mormon tour like? Here is pretty well explained quick-read about our Book of Mormon tours we have provided for a little more than two decades in Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize and what people can expect when booking a trip with us.

What is a Book of Mormon tour?

A Book of Mormon tour is simply a tour where we focus on bringing the scriptures to life by comparing archaeology with the Book of Mormon as we travel through ancient ruins. These trips are designed to allow our visitors to discover outstanding parallelisms and correlations in ancient ruins, historical sites, and prehispanic literature, many of which date back to the time that the Book of Mormon events occurred.

During these tours, our primary focus is to stick to the facts and the latest and updated scientific discoveries that support and collaborate on the history of the BoM. We are very much aware that the Church of JesusChrist of Latter-day Saints does not have an official position on where the Book of Mormon may have happened, and by no means do we intend to teach fictional tales or false facts to support our theories. However, we believe that the history of these ancient civilizations and their remains can speak for themself.

Why do we do these tours?

Our Book of Mormon tours is our favorite tours to do. As faithful members of the Church of JesusChrist, we simply love sharing the thrill and excitement of discovering similarities between the Nephites, Lamanites, and the people of Mesoamerica! These tours provide us the opportunity to testify of our Savior and remind people of his love for all his children.

Where do we do these tours?

Currently, we only offer Book of Mormon tours in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. As Mesoamericanists, we have found that these three countries have the most similarities and parallelisms that relate to the Book of Mormon, which are very easy to access and enjoy. We know there are many theories about where the BoM could have happened, and we hope to include more locations to our trips soon, which may include: Peru, Costa Rica, and the United States. Our ultimate goal is to provide a spirit of place to your scripture study and help you obtain a better understanding of the possible circumstances that may have played a role in the events narrated in the scriptures.
